Meet Casa Aurora's Massage Therapist: Darlene Elizabeth Leal Maldonado

Darlene studied for 4 years from 2018 – 2021 at the Autonomous Univeristy of Durango where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Cosmetology.

What Darlene enjoyed most about her career was the body area, since she really likes to see the results that can happen quickly, especially with lymphatic massage.

Casa Aurora sponserd Darlene in a 3 week lymphatic course where she was trained privately.  She has been assisting patients ever since.

She currently works not only at Casa Aurora, but also full time at a spa here  in the city where she works with different treatments such as reductive, lymphatic, relaxation massages and facials.

Our lymphatic massages are done in house, so this eliminates patients having to go out of the recovery home.  This offers our clients the convieneance of having  the lymphatic massage they need to assist in healing in the comfort of the Recovery Home, and then showering to be fresh for the day or being able to lie down as many find it quite tiring.
Darlene also offers facials and relaxation massages .  This is subject to availabilty and is by appointment only.

CASA AURORA SUPPORTS: FUNDACION LIVIERCITA

  • Fundación Liviercita donates urgently needed mobility equipment to families in extreme need in Sinaloa, Mexico - wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes, leg braces & prosthetics - and periodically channels personal supplies and medicine through local health service providers. Always free of charge.

  • Casa Aurora is extremely proud to promote Fundacion Liviercita. We recently had a patient from Canada with a handful of peso coins asking what we could do with them as banks back home will not exchange coins.  We immediately thought of Fundacion Liviercita, knowing that every peso helps their cause. We even had acquaintances who were filling water jugs through our system and contributing pesos towards this.
  • Jeff and Lilia are friends of ours, always willing to lend a hand to others while donating so much time and equipment to those less fortunate and in need.
  • They were instrumental in helping us when we set up Casa Aurora and why we named one of our rooms for them
  • If patients wish to, they can leave their peso coins and those pesos are in turn donated to help them in their cause.
  • We thank them for their tireless work for those in need
